Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 26 years
• The cut-off date for calculating the age limit is 30/07/2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) as per government rules.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate Apprentice: Candidates must possess a full-time, regular four-year degree in the relevant Engineering stream from an AICTE-recognized institution.
• Diploma Apprentice: Candidates must possess a full-time, regular three-year diploma in the relevant Engineering stream from an AICTE-recognized institution.
• Trade Apprentice: Candidates must possess an ITI NCVT certificate in the concerned trade from the Directorate General of Training, Govt. of India.

Note: Only candidates who passed their qualifying examination in 2023 or later are eligible. Candidates must also have the domicile of West Bengal.

For Graduate & Diploma Apprentices (via NATS Portal)

Candidates with a Degree or Diploma in Engineering must apply through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) 2.0 portal.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Registration: Go to the NATS portal using the link above. If you are a new user, click on "Student Register" and complete the registration process by filling in your basic details, educational qualifications, and other required information.
2. Login & Complete Profile: After registration, log in to your NATS account. It is crucial to ensure your profile is 100% complete. Upload all necessary documents like your photograph, signature, and educational certificates.
3. Find the AAI Vacancy: After logging in, navigate to the section for finding apprenticeship opportunities.
4. Search for Establishment: Use the search function to find the AAI, Kolkata establishment. You can search using the following details:
   • Establishment Name: Airports Authority of India, O/o Airport Director, NSCBI Airport, Kolkata-52
   • Establishment ID / Registration No.: EWBPNC000002
5. Apply for the Post: Once you locate the establishment, find the specific apprenticeship post that matches your qualification (e.g., Graduate Apprentice - Civil, Diploma Apprentice - Electrical). Click the "Apply" button next to it.

For ITI Trade Apprentices (via NAPS Portal)

Candidates with an ITI qualification must apply through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Registration & Activation: Visit the Apprenticeship India portal. Click on "Register" in the top menu and select "Candidate". Fill out the registration form with your details. You will receive an activation link to your registered email ID; click this link to activate your account.
2. Login & Complete Profile: Log in to the portal. The most important step is to complete your profile. Click on "Dashboard" and then "Complete Your Profile". Fill in all sections, including educational details, and complete your Aadhaar e-KYC. Your profile must be at least 80% complete to apply for opportunities.
3. Find the AAI Vacancy: From your dashboard, click on "Apprenticeship Opportunities".
4. Search for Establishment: Use the search bar and filters to find the AAI opportunity. Enter the following details:
