Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• The upper age limit for applicants is 32 years as of the last date of application (11/08/2025).
• Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India rules:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years (13 for OBC, 15 for SC/ST)

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications in the relevant discipline for each post: M.E./M.Tech OR Ph.D. (submitted).

• SCT-2003 (Physics): Ph.D. submitted in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Computational Physics or equivalent.
• SCT-2004 (Quantum Systems): Ph.D. submitted in Physics, Applied Physics, Optics, Photonics, Electrical Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg. or equivalent.
• SCT-2005 (Optics/Photonics): Ph.D. submitted in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Optics/ Photonics or equivalent.
• SCT-2006 (Integrated Photonics): Ph.D. submitted in Physics/Applied Physics/Integrated Photonics/Electrical Engg./Electronics & Communication Engg. or equivalent.
