Application Fees

• For all other candidates (UR/OBC/EWS - Male): Rs. 500/-
  • Note: Rs. 400/- will be refunded to candidates who appear for the written examination.
• For SC, ST, Ex-servicemen, PwBD, Women, Minorities, and Economically Backward Classes (EBC): Rs. 250/-
  • Note: The full amount will be refunded to candidates who appear for the written examination.
• Payment Mode: Demand Draft from any branch of STATE BANK OF INDIA (SBI) issued in favour of "Chairman, Railway Recruitment Cell".

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

• UR & EWS: 18 to 30 years
• OBC: 18 to 33 years
• SC/ST: 18 to 35 years
• Age relaxation is applicable for other categories like PwBD, Widows, Divorced Women, etc., as per government rules.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess both the minimum educational and cultural qualifications listed below.

1. Minimum Educational Qualification:

• Passed 12th or its equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a Govt. recognized Education Board.
  (The 50% marks condition is not required for SC/ST/ESM/PwBD candidates and those with higher qualifications from a UGC recognized University).
  OR
• Passed 10th from a recognized Board plus ITI/National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) approved by NCVT.

2. Cultural Qualification:

• Degree/Diploma certificate or mark sheet in the respective discipline (Classical Vocal, Kathakali, or Manipuri Dance) from a Govt. Recognized University/Institute.

How to Apply

1. Download the Application Form from the official link.
2. Print the form on good quality A-4 size paper (one side only).
3. Fill out the application form in your own handwriting using a Blue or Black ballpoint pen. All details must be in English.
4. Affix one recent passport-size photograph (35mm x 45mm, with a white background) in the space provided. Do not staple, pin, or attest the photo.
5. Prepare a Demand Draft for the application fee from any branch of SBI. Place it in a separate small envelope and write your name, father's name, D.O.B., and Aadhar number on it.
6. Enclose the filled application form, self-attested photocopies of all required certificates (educational, cultural, age proof, caste, etc.), and the envelope containing the demand draft in a larger envelope.
7. Write "Application against Cultural Quota Recruitment (Open Advt.) for the year 2025-26" on top of the main envelope.
8. Physically submit the application by dropping it in the designated box at the Office of RRC-ER, 56, C.R. Avenue, Kolkata – 700012.
9. The form must be submitted between 22/07/2025 and 21/08/2025 (from 11:00 hrs to 17:30 hrs) on working days only (not on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays).
10. Applications sent by post, email, or courier will not be accepted.
