NHPC has announced a total of 361 vacancies for a one-year apprenticeship program across its various units. The training slots are available for the following categories:

• Graduate Apprentices: Includes disciplines like Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, HR, Finance, PR, and Law.
• Diploma Apprentices: Includes disciplines like Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Nursing, and Hospitality.
• ITI Apprentices: Includes trades like Electrician, Fitter, Plumber, Welder, Computer Operator, Draughtsman, and Stenographer.

The vacancies are spread across multiple locations including Faridabad, Chamba, Kullu, Jammu, Leh, Darjeeling, and Manipur.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Candidates must be between 18 to 30 years of age.
• Age relaxation for reserved categories will be applicable as per Government rules.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate Apprentice: B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engg.) in the relevant discipline. For executive roles, qualifications include MBA (HR), B.Com (Finance), Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB), or a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication/Journalism.
• Diploma Apprentice: Diploma in the relevant Engineering or non-engineering trade (e.g., Nursing, Hospitality).
• ITI Apprentice: Passed ITI in the relevant trade from a recognized institution.

Note: Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or are awaiting final year results are not eligible to apply.

How to Apply

Applying for the NHPC Apprentice Recruitment 2025 involves a two-step process. Candidates must first register on the government's apprenticeship portal and then apply on the NHPC website. Follow the detailed steps below carefully:

Step 1: Mandatory Portal Registration

Before applying on the NHPC website, you must register yourself on the relevant national apprenticeship portal. This is a compulsory first step.

• For Graduate & Diploma Apprentices: Register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at https://nats.education.gov.in.
• For ITI Apprentices: Register on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal at https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.

Complete your profile on the portal by uploading all required documents and obtain your unique registration/enrolment number. Keep a copy of the completed registration form, as it will be needed for the next step.

Step 2: Submitting the Application on the NHPC Website

Once you have your NATS/NAPS registration number, proceed to the NHPC official website to complete your application.

1. Visit the official NHPC website: nhpcindia.com.
2. Navigate to the "Career" section on the homepage.
3. Find the advertisement for "Engagement of Apprentice" (Advt. No. NH/Rectt./03/2025) and click on the "Apply Now" link.
4. The online application form will open. Fill in all the required details accurately, including your personal information, educational qualifications, and your NATS/NAPS registration number.
5. Upload clear, scanned copies of the following documents in the prescribed format:
   • Copy of the completed Apprenticeship Registration/Enrolment Form from the NATS/NAPS portal.
   • Scanned copies of all educational certificates and mark sheets (e.g., 10th, 12th/Diploma, Degree/ITI).
   • Proof of Age (Matriculation Certificate).
   • Latest SC/ST/OBC (NCL) Caste certificate, if applicable, as per the Government of India format.
   • A recent colour passport-sized photograph and your signature.
6. Double-check all the information provided in the application form before final submission.
7. Submit the application. Note that applications can only be submitted online between 11th July 2025 (10:00 AM) and 11th August 2025 (05:00 PM).

Important Note: Candidates are advised to apply for only one region/state/trade. Submitting multiple applications will result in the rejection of all applications. No other mode of application will be accepted.
