Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age as on 01.01.2025.

Educational Qualification

• Degree Apprentice (Engineering): BE/B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Computer Science / IT / Electronics & Telecommunication or equivalent.
• Diploma Apprentice: Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication or equivalent.
• Degree Apprentice (Non-Engineering):
  • HR: MBA (HR) / MSW / PG Degree in Personnel Management.
  • Finance: M.Com (Finance/Accounts) or B.Com with Intermediate in CMA.
  • Law: LLM / LLB or equivalent.
  • Library Science: Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc.) / Bachelor of Library Science (B.Lib.Sc.).
• ITI Apprentice: ITI in Electrician Trade or ITI in Electronics Mechanic Trade or equivalent.

Other Eligibility Conditions

• Only candidates belonging to the state of Odisha are eligible.
• The gap between passing the qualifying examination and the date of joining should not be more than 3 years.
• Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination during the academic years 2022-23, 2023-24, or 2024-25.
• Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or have more than one year of job experience are not eligible.
• Candidates must first register on the NATS portal (for Degree/Diploma) or the NAPS portal (for ITI).
• The candidate's bank account must be seeded with their Aadhaar number for stipend disbursal (DBT).

How to Apply

1. Portal Registration: Before applying to OPTCL, candidates must register themselves on the appropriate national portal:
   • Degree & Diploma Candidates: Register on the NATS 2.0 portal at nats.education.gov.in.
   • ITI Candidates: Register on the NAPS portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
2. Visit OPTCL Website: After getting the registration number from the portal, go to the official OPTCL Career Portal: careers.optcl.co.in/index.
3. Find the Advertisement: Look for the link "ENGAGEMENT OF GRADUATE, TECHNICIAN AND TRADE APPRENTICES" and click on "Online Application".
4. Fill the Form: Complete the online application form with accurate details and submit it.
5. Ensure all personal, educational, bank account, and Aadhaar details are correctly entered in your portal profile and the application form.
