Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 27 years (as of 15/07/2025)
- Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government directives.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications from a college approved by AICTE with at least 60% aggregate marks:
- Graduate Apprentice: A full-time regular four-year degree in Engineering/Technology.
- Diploma Apprentice: A full-time regular three-year diploma in Engineering/Technology.
Eligible Engineering Branches:
- Electronics & Telecommunication
- Telecommunication
- Computer Science & Engineering
- Information Technology
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Any other combination where Electronics is a main branch (e.g., Electronics & Instrumentation).
- OR Passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institute of Engineering (India).
- OR Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India).
Important Conditions:
- Candidates who completed their degree/diploma more than three years ago are not eligible.
- Candidates with one year or more of work experience after their qualification are not eligible.
- Candidates who have already completed or are currently pursuing an apprenticeship are not eligible.
- Qualifications obtained through distance learning or part-time mode are not valid for this apprenticeship.
How to Apply
- Candidates must first register themselves on the NATS 2.0 portal at https://nats.education.gov.in.
- After registration, log in to the portal and search for the RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. apprenticeship opportunity.
- Fill out the online application form with the correct details.
- In the "Upload Certificate" column, upload the certificate showing your CGPA or percentage.
- If your mark sheet only mentions CGPA, you must also upload the CGPA to percentage conversion formula/certificate and the undertaking (Annexure-I from the notification) as a single PDF file (less than 1 MB).
- Submit the application before the last date. Only online applications through the NATS portal will be considered.
