The recruitment is for a total of 13 posts in Eastern Railway and Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) under the Scouts & Guides Quota.

Important Dates

Application Fees
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹500 (₹400 will be refunded after appearing in the written test)
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Women/Minority/EBC: ₹250 (The entire fee will be refunded after appearing in the written test)
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)
- Group C (Level 2): 18 to 30 years
- Group D (Level 1): 18 to 33 years
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (OBC, SC/ST) and other specific groups as per government rules.
Educational & Scouting Qualification
For Both Posts (Mandatory Scouting/Guiding Qualification):
- A President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder.
- Must have been an active member of a Scout Organization for the last 5 years.
- Should have attended at least two events at the National level OR All Indian Railways' level AND two events at the State level.
Post-wise Educational Qualification:

Group C (Level-2):
- Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. (50% marks not required for SC/ST/PwBD/ESM candidates).
- OR 10th pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or ITI approved by NCVT.

Group D (Level-1):
- 10th pass from a Government recognized Board.
- OR 10th pass plus ITI/National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) approved by NCVT.
How to Apply
- Visit the official RRC/ER Kolkata website: www.rrcer.org.
- Go to the Notice Board and click on the link for "Online/E-Application for Scouts & Guides Quota /2025-26".
- Click on "New Registration" and fill in your basic personal details like name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
- Log in using the registration number and password received via email/SMS.
- Fill out the application form carefully.
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, LTI, and all required certificates (educational, caste, scouting/guiding).
- Pay the application fee online via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking.
- Submit the final application form and take a printout for future reference.
