The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced a total of 1340 tentative vacancies for Junior Engineer posts across various departments. The recruitment is for the following disciplines:

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)
- For most departments: Up to 30 years.
- For CPWD & CWC: Up to 32 years.
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD (Unreserved): 10 years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules.
Educational Qualification (as on 01/01/2026)
- For JE (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical): A Degree or a three-year Diploma in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
- Experience: For some posts, particularly in the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and DGQA-NAVAL, two years of work experience is required for candidates with a Diploma. Please refer to the official notification for department-specific requirements.
How to Apply
- Visit the new official SSC website: https://ssc.gov.in.
- Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process first. The OTR from the old website (ssc.nic.in) will not work.
- Login using your new registration number and password.
- Find the "Apply" link for 'Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Examination, 2025' under the 'Live Examination' section.
- Your basic details will be auto-filled from your OTR profile. Fill in the remaining details.
- Capture a live photograph and upload your scanned signature as per the specified format.
- Pay the application fee online, if applicable.
- Preview your application form, agree to the declaration, and submit it.
- Download and print a copy of the final application form for your records.
