Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 and 38 years of age as of 01-01-2025. The upper age limit is relaxable as follows:
- SC/ST candidates: By 5 years (up to 43 years)
- OBC/MOBC candidates: By 3 years (up to 41 years)
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): By 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Maximum age of 50 years for Unreserved category, with further relaxation for OBC/MOBC (3 years) and SC/ST (5 years).
- Government Employees: Upper age limit is 45 years.
Educational Qualification
- Essential: Must be a Graduate in Science/Commerce/Arts from a recognized University. Preference will be given to candidates with Economics/Statistics/Mathematics.
- Desirable: Six months Diploma in Computer Application.
- Domicile: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam and must upload a valid Permanent Resident Certificate or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate as proof of residency.
Selection Process
The selection procedure will be notified later by the Commission through a corrigendum/addendum if required.

- Log in using your registered credentials.
- Carefully fill out the online application form for the Research Assistant post.

- Upload a recent photograph (50 KB – 200 KB) and your signature (50 KB – 200 KB).
