Application Fees
- Trainee Engineer - I: Rs. 177/- (Rs. 150 + 18% GST)
- Project Engineer - I: Rs. 472/- (Rs. 400 + 18% GST)
- Exemption: Candidates belonging to PwBD, SC, and ST categories are exempted from the application fee. Candidates who completed Graduate Apprenticeship from BEL are also exempted for the Trainee Engineer-I post.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01/08/2025)
- Trainee Engineer-I: Maximum 28 Years
- Project Engineer-I: Maximum 32 Years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years in addition to their category relaxation.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a 4-year B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering degree from a recognized university in the following disciplines:
- Trainee/Project Engineer (Electronics): Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Telecommunication.
- Trainee/Project Engineer (Mechanical): Mechanical Engineering.
- Trainee/Project Engineer (Computer Science): Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering / Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology.
- Project Engineer (Electrical): Electrical / Electrical & Electronics.
- Project Engineer (Civil): Civil Engineering.
Experience:
- Trainee Engineer-I: No experience required (NIL).
- Project Engineer-I: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification relevant industry experience is mandatory.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a Walk-in process involving a Written Test.
- For Trainee Engineer-I: The selection will be through a Written Test of 100 marks. There will be a negative marking of 1/4 for each wrong answer.
- For Project Engineer-I: The selection process includes a Written Test (85 marks) followed by a Personal Interview (15 marks) for shortlisted candidates. There is no negative marking in the written test for this post.
How to Apply
- Interested and eligible candidates must first pre-register online through the provided Google Forms link.
- The online pre-registration link will be active from 28.08.2025 to 12.09.2025.
- After submitting the Google Form, candidates will receive the filled form in their registered email ID.
- Take a printout of this form and attach a recent color passport-size photograph.
- Candidates must carry this printout, along with the application form downloaded from the BEL website and other required documents, to the selection venue on the day of the Written Test.
- Candidates who have not pre-registered will not be allowed to appear for the selection process.
