Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 25 Years
• Age Relaxation:
  • OBC: 3 Years (up to 28 years)
  • SC/ST: 5 Years (up to 30 years)
  • Other relaxations are applicable as per government rules for Ex-Servicemen, government employees, etc.

Educational Qualification

For Head Constable (Radio Operator) - HC(RO):

• Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognised Board with an aggregate of 60% marks in PCM subjects.
  OR
• Matriculation (10th) or equivalent AND a two-year Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in Radio and Television/ Electronics Engineering/ Computer Operator & Programming Assistant/ Data Preparation & Computer Software/ General Electronics Engineering/ Data Entry Operator.

For Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) - HC(RM):

• Pass in 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognised Board with an aggregate of 60% marks in PCM subjects.
  OR
• Matriculation (10th) or equivalent AND a two-year ITI Certificate in Radio and Television/ General Electronics/ Computer Operator & Programming Assistant/ Data Preparation & Computer Software/ Electrician/ Fitter/ Information Technology and Electronics System Maintenance/ Communication Equipment Maintenance/ Computer Hardware/ Network Technician/ Mechatronics/ Data Entry Operator.

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted in three phases:

1. Phase I: Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
2. Phase II: Computer Based Test (CBT).
3. Phase III: Document Verification, Dictation & Paragraph Reading Test (for HC(RO) only), and Detailed Medical Examination (DME/RME).
