DRDO RAC Scientist B Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on application closing date)
- UR/EWS: Maximum 35 years
- OBC (NCL): Maximum 38 years
- SC/ST: Maximum 40 years
- Age relaxation is applicable for PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and certain categories of Central Government employees as per government norms.
Educational Qualification
- For Engineering Disciplines: A First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- For Science Disciplines: A First Class Master’s Degree in the relevant science discipline from a recognized university.
- Mandatory for all posts: A valid GATE score (from 2023, 2024, or 2025) in the corresponding subject/discipline.
- Note: Students in their final year of study can also apply, provided they can submit their degree/provisional degree certificate by 31st July 2025.
Selection Process
The selection for the DRDO Scientist 'B' post is a two-stage process based on GATE scores and a personal interview.
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for an interview based on their valid GATE scores in a 1:10 ratio (number of vacancies to number of candidates).
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview.
- Final Merit: The final selection will be based on a merit list prepared with 80% weightage given to the GATE score and 20% weightage to the interview marks.
