Application Fees

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of July 1, 2025.
- Candidates must not have been born earlier than July 2, 1985, and not later than July 1, 2004.
- Age Relaxation: Permissible for reserved categories as per government rules.
- The maximum age limit for PH candidates is 55 years.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications (A or B):
A.
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC
or CSIR, or a similar test like SLET/SET.
OR
Have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009 or 2016.
B.
- The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among the top 500 in the World University Ranking at any time by QS, THE, or ARWU.
Note: A 5% relaxation in marks (from 55% to 50%) is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/Differently-Abled categories.
Selection Process
The selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained by the candidates in the Main (Written) Examination and Interview. There will be a Preliminary Examination to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination.

the online application.
- Visit the official UPPSC website: https://uppsc.up.nic.in.
- Click on the "ALL NOTIFICATIONS/ADVERTISEMENTS" link and find the advertisement for Assistant Professor, Government Degree College Examination-2025.
- Click on 'Apply' and proceed to authenticate using your O.T.R. number and OTP/password.
- After authentication, your personal details from the O.T.R. will be auto-filled. You will need to fill in the essential qualifications required for the post.
- Proceed to the payment gateway and pay the application fee online through Net Banking, Card Payments, or other available modes.
- After successful payment, take a printout of the final submitted application form for your records.
