The RRB has announced a total of 2569 vacancies. These are distributed across various RRB zones throughout the country. Some of the major zones with a high number of vacancies include:

Application Fees
- For General / OBC / EWS Candidates: Rs. 500/- (An amount of Rs. 400 will be refunded after appearing in the 1st Stage CBT).
- For SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen / Female / Transgender / Minorities / EBC: Rs. 250/- (This fee will be fully refunded after appearing in the 1st Stage CBT).
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Candidates must be between 18 to 33 years of age as of 01/01/2026.
- The date of birth for candidates should be between 02/01/1993 and 01/01/2008 for the UR/EWS category.
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates.
Educational Qualification
- Junior Engineer (JE): A three-year Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university or institute.
- Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): A three-year Diploma in any Engineering discipline from a recognized university or institute.
- Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA): A Bachelor's degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Physics and Chemistry, with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized university or institute.
Selection Process
The selection process for the RRB JE Recruitment 2025 will consist of the following stages:
- 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-I): A screening test common for all posts.
- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-II): A technical test based on the candidate's chosen exam group.
