Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Candidates must be between 18 to 39 years of age as of 01/01/2025.

- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC (A & B): 3 Years
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 6 Years
Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill the qualification requirements for the post they are applying for:
1. For Staff Nurse (GNM):
- Must have passed the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course from a Nursing Training School recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the respective State Nursing Council.
- Must be registered as a Female/Male Nurse Midwifery with the West Bengal Nursing Council.
2. For Staff Nurse (Basic B.Sc. / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing):
- Must have passed Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) or Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) course from a College of Nursing recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the respective State Nursing Council.
- Must be registered as a Female Nurse Midwifery with the West Bengal Nursing Council.
Common Requirement for all posts:
- Candidates must have knowledge of Bengali or Nepali (spoken and written).
Selection Process
The selection will be based on marks awarded for academic qualifications, experience, and an interview. The total marks are 100, distributed as follows:
- Academic Marks: 75
- Experience Marks: 10
- Interview Marks: 15
Note: The Board may decide to hold a Written Examination or Computer Based Test (CBT) at a later stage if required.
