Application Fees
For Group 'B' Posts (Senior Assistant)
- General/Freedom Fighter/Sportsmen: ₹1500/-

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- The age limit for Ex-servicemen will be as per the Punjab Recruitment of Ex-servicemen Rules, 1982.
- The age will be calculated after deducting the period of military service from the actual age. The resultant age must not exceed the maximum age limit for the post by more than 3 years.
- Age Relaxation: 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (up to 47 years) and up to 40 years for widows/divorcees.
Educational Qualification
- Senior Assistant: Must be an Ex-Serviceman, possess qualifications as per Punjab Civil Services Rules 1994, qualified a typing test (Punjabi & English), and passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a subject.
- Clerk: Must be an Ex-JCO or NCO (or equivalent from Navy/Air Force) AND a Graduate OR have an Indian Army Special Certificate of Education. Must also qualify a typing test and have passed Matriculation with Punjabi.
- Sainik Welfare Organizer: Must be an Ex-JCO (or equivalent from Navy/Air Force) AND Matriculate OR have an Indian Army Special Certificate of Education. Must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi.
- Driver: Must be an Ex-Serviceman, Middle pass with Punjabi (or equivalent Army Educational Certificate), and hold a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license.
Selection Process
The selection process varies by post:
Senior Assistant & Clerk
- Written Exam: An objective-type (MCQ) written test.
- Typing Test: Candidates who qualify the written exam will undergo a typing test in English and Punjabi (30 wpm in Raavi font). This is qualifying in nature.
- Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written exam.
Sainik Welfare Organizer
Selection will be based on a merit list prepared on a 100-point system, evaluating:
- Matriculation Certificate (50 points)
- Service in Army/Navy/Air Force, including years of service, rank, education, awards, and character (50 points).
Driver
- Written Exam: An objective-type (MCQ) written test.
- Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written examination.
- Document Verification.
How to Apply
- Visit the official SSSB Punjab website: sssb.punjab.gov.in.
- Click on the "Online Applications" link on the homepage.
- Choose the post you wish to apply for and complete the initial registration to get your login ID and password.
- Log in and fill out the online application form with accurate details.
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and necessary educational documents.
- Submit the form. After one day, log in again to proceed with the fee payment.
- Pay the application fee online using Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI before the deadline of 08/08/2025.
- Download and print a copy of your completed application for future reference.
