Application Fees
The application fee is comprised of an Examination Fee and Recruitment Processing Charges.

Note: Ex-servicemen who have already secured employment in a civil post under the Central Government on a regular basis after availing reservation benefits are required to pay the full fee of ₹650.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
(As on the closing date: 10.08.2025)
- General Age Limit: 18 to 27 years.
Upper Age Relaxation is provided as follows:
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation.
- OBC: 3 years relaxation.
- Departmental Candidates: Up to 40 years of age (must have 3 years of regular and continuous service).

Remarried):
- Up to 35 years for UR category.
- Up to 38 years for OBC category.
- Up to 40 years for SC/ST category.
- Ex-Servicemen & Meritorious Sportspersons: As per Central Government rules issued from time to time.
Educational Qualification
- Essential Qualification: Candidates must possess a Graduation degree or its equivalent from a recognized university. The candidate must have been declared successful in it by the closing date of 10.08.2025.
- Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of computers.
Scheme of Examination & Selection Process
The selection will be conducted in three stages: Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III/Interview.
Tier-I Examination (100 Marks)
- Type: Objective Type MCQs
- Duration: 1 hour
- Max Marks: 100

Structure: The paper is divided into 5 parts with 20
questions of 1 mark each:
- Current Affairs
- General Studies
- Numerical Aptitude
- Reasoning/Logical Aptitude
- English
- Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of ¼ mark for each incorrect answer.
- Cut-off Marks (out of 100): UR-35, OBC-34, SC/ST-33, EWS-35.
Tier-II Examination (50 Marks)
- Type: Descriptive Paper
- Duration: 1 hour
- Max Marks: 50

- Essay (20 marks)
- English Comprehension (10 marks)
- Long answer type questions (2 questions of 10 marks each) on Current Affairs, Economics, Socio-political issues, etc. (20 marks)
- Qualifying Marks: Candidates must secure a minimum of 33% (17 out of 50) in the Tier-II exam.
Tier-III / Interview (100 Marks)
- Candidates shortlisted based on their combined performance in Tier-I and Tier-II will be called for the Interview.
Selection Process
- Based on performance and normalization of marks in the Tier-I exam, candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II at a rate of 10 times the number of vacancies.
- Based on the combined performance in Tier-I and Tier-II, candidates will be shortlisted for the Tier-III/Interview at a rate of 5 times the number of vacancies, provided they have scored the minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II.
- The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined performance of the candidate in Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III/Interview.
How to Apply
- Candidates must apply ONLINE through the MHA official website www.mha.gov.in or the NCS portal www.ncs.gov.in. No other mode of application will be accepted.
- The application portal will be active from 19.07.2025 to 10.08.2025 (23:59 hours).
- While filling the form, you must carefully select five (5) choices for the Examination City. This choice, once submitted, cannot be changed.
- After filling the form, proceed to the payment gateway (SBI EPAY LITE) to complete the payment process.
- Payment can be made online (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI) or offline via an SBI Challan. Payments through SBI Challan can be made until 12.08.2025.
- Important: After submitting your payment online, please wait for the intimation from the server. DO NOT press the Back or Refresh button to avoid double charges.
- After successful payment, print the final application form for your records.
Salary and Allowances
- Pay Scale: Level 7 of the pay matrix (₹44,900 - ₹1,42,400).

Allowances: In addition to the basic pay and other
admissible Central Government allowances, the post carries:
- Special Security Allowance: 20% of the basic pay.
- Cash Compensation: In lieu of duty performed on holidays, subject to a ceiling of 30 days per year.
